VICTORIAS CITY TURNS OVER STIPENDS TO PROJECT SAGIP INTERNS

The City Government of Victorias officially distributed stipends to ten beneficiaries of Project SAGIP (Serving Assistance through Government Internship Program) during a ceremonial turnover held at the City Mayor's Office Courtesy Area on July 16.
On behalf of Mayor Abelardo Bantug III, the stipends were awarded by City Mayor’s Office Manager Sherlou Labrador, City Social Welfare and Development Officer Joy Reunir, RSW, and Youth Welfare Program Implementer Ricky Lapidante Jr.
Each intern received Php 4,100 in recognition of their active participation and completion of the internship program.
Implemented from May 19 to May 30, Project SAGIP provided out-of-school youth members of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) – Victorias Chapter with practical work experience by deploying them to various departments within the Local Government Unit.
The ten-day internship allowed participants to gain firsthand exposure to the day-to-day operations of local governance and public service.
Project SAGIP is an initiative of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) under the Unlad Kabataan Program, which aims to build the competencies of disadvantaged youth and prepare them for future employment.
The City Government continues to strengthen programs that support the development of the youth sector, highlighting its commitment to inclusive governance and community-based opportunities for learning and growth. *
