VICTORIAS CITY HEALTH OFFICE HOLDS FELLOWSHIP NIGHT 2024 TO RECOGNIZE BLOOD DONORS, PARTNERS

To celebrate and recognize the efforts of donors, staff, and partners, Victorias City Health Office under its bloodletting program held its first ever Fellowship Night 2024 at the Victorias Aquatic Center, Pavillion II, on November 15.
The program began with a video presentation showcasing the various blood donation activities conducted throughout the year.
It was followed by the recognition of participating barangays, with Barangay XIII emerging as the top donor, having collected 212 units of blood. Barangay XIX-A and Barangay II followed closely, with 208 and 204 units collected, respectively.
Trophies were awarded to these barangays for their remarkable contributions to the program's success.
Individual blood donors were also recognized for their exceptional commitment.
Notable among them were Neil Lamason of Barangay V, who donated blood 80 times, Jose Antonio Cañete of Barangay XXI with 50 donations, Jose Kerwin Ledesma of Barangay IV with 40 donations, Arturo Tabanao of Barangay XIX with 38 donations, and Rodrigo Delantero Jr. of Barangay VIII with 31 donations.
These ‘blood heroes’ received trophies as a testament to their dedication and service to the community.
The event was graced by SP Committee Chair on Public Health Danilo De Asis Jr., City Councilors Warlito Undar, Audi Malaga, and Eric Alcobilla, as well as Board Member Richard Julius Sablan.
They collectively expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the Voluntary Bloodletting Program and emphasized that every blood donation represents a powerful act of kindness and solidarity that strengthens the community.
The success of the Fellowship Night 2024 was made possible through the support of City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, Vice Mayor Abelardo Bantug III, and city and barangay officials.
The event was spearheaded by City Health Officer Dr. Richard Garlitos, Supervising Administrative Officer April Golda Acuna, and Nurse Coordinator for the Blood Program Maybell Canlas, with the full dedication of the Mobile Blood Donation Team.
Their collective efforts ensured the program's smooth implementation and continued success in fostering a culture of generosity and health advocacy in Victorias City. *
