The City of Victorias through its Victorias City Environment and Natural Resources Office (VCENRO) under the leadership of Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez was awarded for its exemplary contribution to environmental conservation, protection, and rehabilitation of the LGU’s Urban Forest.

With the strong support of Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, the station, headed by Chief of Police PLTCOL Roy Rodrigo Gutierrez, was conferred with the award for their laudable accomplishment in keeping the community safe.

The award was received by Deputy Chief of Police PMAJ Joy Ellaga during the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office Flag Raising Ceremony at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr., Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City.

The Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH), under the Financial Administration component of the Seal of Good Local Governance, promotes transparency and accountability. This recognition highlights the local government unit's compliance with DILG and COA's accounting and auditing standards.

The Victorias City Police Station, headed by Chief of Police PLTCOL Roy Rodrigo Gutierrez, for being recognized as the station with the “Highest Confiscated Amount of Money in Anti-Illegal Gambling” and awarded for its “Highest Number of Arrested in Other Wanted Persons” in the Province from February 5-11, 2024.

The Victorias City Police Station, headed by Chief of Police PLTCOL Roy Rodrigo Gutierrez, for being recognized as the top-performing Component City Police station in the Province-wide performance rating in “Functionality of Strategy Partners,” with an accumulated rating of 87.7% for the calendar year 2023.

Deputy Chief of Police PMAJ JOY ELLAGA received the Certificate of Recognition on behalf of the Victorias City Police Station during the Traditional Monday Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremony at NOCPPO Grandstand, Camp Alfredo M Montelibano Sr., Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City on February 19.

The City, through its City Social Welfare and Development Office, City Health Office, and Schools Division Office, has been awarded Third Place in the Adolescents Reached for Adolescent Health and Development (AHD) Program during the 2023 Philippine Population and Development Program Awards for Western Visayas held in Iloilo City last March 15.

The City has been honored for its Excellence Adolescents Reached, New Family Planning Acceptors Generated, and Demand Generation.

The CITY OF VICTORIAS was recognized as the Top 5 Passer of the 2022 Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) in Negros Occidental during the Provincial Council for the Protection of Children first quarter meeting in Bacolod City, today.

The “Lunsod Lunsad Victorias in Motion” entry of Victorias City won the 2024 Lunsod Lunsad Project of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and was granted a Php 1,312,500 budget, the full amount requested in the proposal for its implementation, during the awarding ceremony at the Philippines Trade Training Center in Pasay City, August 6.

To seize global market opportunities for Victoriasanons in the animation industry, “Lunsod Lunsad Victorias In Motion” is a project that aims to organize activities that would transform Victorias into a major outsourcing hub of skilled creatives for animation companies and houses either in the Philippines or abroad.

After presenting an outstanding creative proposal and undergoing a rigorous selection process, the City of Victorias was among the eight cities from Negros Occidental that were recognized as awardees of the Lunsod Lunsad Program 2024.

The City of Victorias, under the leadership of Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, received an award from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as one of its outstanding local government partners during the 2024 Outstanding BSP Stakeholders Appreciation Ceremony (OBSAC) held at Citadines Hotel, Bacolod City, on September 16.

Vice Mayor Abelardo “JunB” Bantug III, along with Councilor Derek Palanca, accepted the OBSAC award on behalf of Mayor Javi.

The OBSAC, which began in 2004, serves as a platform for the BSP to honor outstanding partners who support the central bank's mandates of ensuring price stability, financial stability, and a safe and efficient payments and settlements system.

The City of Victorias was recognized for its consistent promotion of BSP’s special advocacies, such as financial inclusion, digitalization, proper handling of banknotes and coins, and cyber hygiene.

In addition to the Certificate of Recognition, the City also received a commemorative Php 100,000 note from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

Victorias City secured five big awards in The Manila Times Philippine Model Cities and Municipalities 2024 and was hailed Philippine Model City - second runner-up at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Quezon City, September 19.

The LGU was awarded as Sustainability Champion, Tourism and Culture Hub, Tech Territory, and first runner-up in Food Security Enabler.

Moreover, the City Government of Victorias received a Certificate of Recognition for achieving 100% registration of its members in GSIS Touch, the agency's digital platform that allows easy access to GSIS services.
